My usb 3.0 driver corrupted. i have a ASUS Z270-A Motherboard, Win 10 64 bit. Dont know if my motherboard is relevant to what driver I need, but if anyone has the same board or any compatible drivers, can you send me the files so I can fix it. Its the Generic USB xHCI Host Controller from Microsoft. Version 10.0.18362.207 if that matters. Other drivers for my usb 3.1 works, and all apparent usb drivers from asus are fine, just my Microsoft one somehow died on me. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

install the latest chipset drivers (INF) from Intel
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/98089

which USB port is it? Is it one of the front panel or some on the back of the motherboard?

What exact problem do you have with the USB 3 driver or port?

Hi, it is all of my usb ports, case and motherboard, except for the usb 3.1 (which runs on a seperate driver)
All of the usbs get power, but cannot recognize anything, not my keyboard, mouse, headset, nothing. They all supply power though. Under my device manager, my driver is putting out code 10 (cannot start). I have gone as far as resetting my operating system, but the problem persists. Because of my symptoms I can only guess it is a driver issue (correct me if I am wrong please).

I am not sure how to even install the Intel ME, but I know running their driver program it says everything is up to date. In the device manager there are no found updates and I am unable to roll back my driver.

Sorry for the the late reply, I have an irregular work schedule.
Thanks for getting back to me.

Did you install this one?

update the BIOS using the EZ flash menu in the BIOS and an USB flash drive with the unzipped BIOS file on it

Yes I sure did. Didn't do a lick unfortunately. I cannot flash my bios with a usb drive since only one usb port operates. However, I tried flashing it through ASUS AI Suite, and everytime the flash fails to initiate. After restart, my display turns off and nothing happens. Funny because in the past I have flashed my bios just fine. I contacted ASUS Support which was an absolute joke. Spent 10 minutes on trying to communicate my email. In the end he told me to install the new drivers as if I had not already tried, then tells me "this is not a motherboard issue, I will send this to our upper support team and expect an email in 34-48 hours."
