Good day everyone, my friend's pc cant past the asus logo at bios ( stuck at rog logo ) . Could it be the operating system's the culprit? We've tried replacing, cleaning and swapping rams. Tried resetting cmos but still to no avail. I can go to bios settings though, disabled fast boot and chose the proper boot drive.
I can't really give the exact specification cause we barely meet and he ain't really that tech savvy per se ( can't give it to me through chat ), so I apologize for the inconvenience.

the only answer I know that works with that code is a clean install

On another PC, download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB

if there is anything on drive he wants to save
boot from installer
on screen after languages, choose repair this pc, not install.
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose command prompt
type notepad and press enter
in notepad, select file>open
Use file explorer to copy any files you need to save to USB or hdd

afterwards, follow this guide: https://forums.tomshardware.com/faq/how-to-do-a-clean-installation-of-windows-10.3170366/

could also be boot drive but if there is only 1 in pc, its likely...

This is unlikely to be "corrupted windows".
It appears to never get that far.

But, due to the multiple layers of people...this will be near impossible to diagnose and fix through a forum like this.

It could be some failed hardware. But as we out here have zero info on it...that is merely a random guess.

I'm guessing it could be the OS as he said to me he forced shutdown by holding the power button ( forgot to add above ) after his last usage of the pc.

While it is possible, a corrupt OS from doing that is somewhat uncommon.

Why did he have to force shutdown?
He really is into using his pc for gaming and doesn't really care into taking care of it even though i tell i tell him otherwise. It was a gift to him and didn't build it himself. It's kinda shame actually as his pc has far higher specs than mine.

Follow up to my post, we tried fixing his pc ( through chat ) and can't still fix it. Here are some pics for reference.

Can I ask, what made him force it to shutdown? Also what happens when trying to boot exactly? Does it just stay on the post screen? Does it go to a black screen and give an error etc?

also just to ask and make sure, he didn’t mess with the boot order by accident did he? Believe me, I’ve seen things like changing the boot order by accident happen.

He doesn't really properly shut down his pc even if I tell him so.
As for the boot, he got stuck at the asus logo screen.
We then get the error from the 5th image after resetting the cmos in hoping to fix his issue, after that we set the sata mode selection to RAID from AHCI which trigger the automatic repair after saving.

Him shutting it down constantly by holding down the power button is just not a good idea, but it is his pc I suppose.

Did the boot order change? Check if it is trying to boot into a hard drive without windows on it.

Can there be any workaround rather done clean installing? As he has no neither do I, any backup storage.
What you could do, this is a complicated and time consuming process, is install Windows on a new drive and hook up your old drive too. Have your PC boot into Windows on the new drive, then manually transfer all the important files over. If its a program that requires and installation, just do it on the new drive without transfer. Honestly The only things you would need are pictures, videos, important documents, maybe game saves, which are all transferable. Stuff like Steam, Discord, etc can all be reinstalled and easily brought back through logging in. You technically could transfer installed programs from your old drive to the new one but I would not recommend that. Whatever you do, make sure your new windows on your new drive DOES NOT format the old drive. You want windows to think its just another big usb.

Contrary to my original statement, this IS a corrupted OS.
Self induced.

Your only hope is a clean install. Either on the existing drive, or some other drive.

If what you are worried about is game saves...that is gone.
Some actions are, and should be, painful.
