Question Corsair 2x8 gb lpx 3000mhz and ryzen 2700x - do I have to enable xmp?

Hello everyone. So I'm about to build my first amd build in many many years. It will be as follows:
Cpu: amd ryzen 7 2700x
Motherboard: Msi B450 Tomahawk
Memory: Corsair lpx 2x8 gb 3000 mhz

I've been searching forums and posts and still couldn't get a straight answer. With these components, will I have to enable the xmp profile in the bios to get 3000 mhz in the ram? Or it's already set at that speed by default? If I have to enable it, which profile is? 1 or 2? Thanks for your help.

I think that you don't need to enable XMP.
It should come with that speed, but otherwise you'll just need to overclock it in the motherboard?

Usually the system defaults to the cpu's default memory setting. Which for the 2700x is 2933mhz. Or it could get 3000mhz out of the gates. Just don't be surprised if its 2933mhz.
