In bios I set it at profile 1, level 3, which theoretically should set it to 3600, but checking CPU-Zb unfortunately still at roughly 2600 mhz, and performance in games is a little inconsistent because of this. I use a gigabyte aorus elite motherboard (the bios is confusing for me..)

rest of pc:
ryzen 7 3700x
zotac rtx 2080 super
2TB m.2 ssd

monitor (if it helps):
asus 165hz

Please provide exact reference of RAM.
Which Chipset (B450, B550, X570 ?)

Corsair Vengance RGB pro DDR4 2x16
AM4 X570 Chipset.
Is this exact reference number for you Ram ? Something like CMW32GX4M2Z3600C18 ? There are several different Corsair Vengance RGB pro .
This kit has 18-22-22-42 latencies. Do you see these numbers when you enable profile 1, level 3 (not sure what profile 3 means) ?
Also, there are many Corsair kits on the QVL for your MoBO which is here: https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_x570-aorus-elite_matisse_191231_v2.pdf

Do you see your kit on the list ? There are not so many large RAM sticks ( 16 GB) on the list with a speed above 3200 MHz.

Part #: CMW16GX4M2Z3600C18

I don't see it there... No Corsair sticks on there that are 16gb 3600mhz

Might have to return em.
The XMP timings are indeed 18-22-22-42 for this kit at 3600 Mhz.
Do you see these timing when you enable XMP in the bios ?
The only Corsair kit with 16 GB RAM sticks on the list is CMK64GX4M4B3600C18 ver 4.31 which is a 64 GB kit. And be aware that the different versions for the same part means different memory chips (Samsung, Hynix, Micron) in Corsair land. So if you do not have an exact match, it can be really tricky.

I believe I saw the timings as 18-22-22-42 but I can check again. I don’t see my exact model on there anyways, so that could be part of the problem in terms of my performance I’ve been getting.
