Corsair 500R Fans

Hi, coming towards the end of my first build powered it up for the first time. Everything was fine only that the front fans and led's weren't on. There is a molex connector not connected does that have anything to do with it? I tried connecting it with the cables i got with my psu but I didn't know where to put the 3pin adapter at the end of it. I could really use some help, thanks.

3 pins usually plug into the motherboard.

I don't see anywhere to plug it i have an MSI Z87-G45 Gaming motherboard
