Corsair 600W or Silverstone 700W Power Supply?

For a system that will be using:

Ryzen 7 2700X
Cryorig C7 Cu + Noctua NF-A9x14
Asus X470-I motherboard
32GB DDR4-3200 RAM
m.2 SSD
EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2
Dan Cases A4 SFX v2

Exact PSUs are the Corsair SF600W 80+ Gold and Silverstone SX700-LPT 80+ Platinum. Corsair model is an SFX and Silverstone is SFX-L. Both will fit.

Corsair model costs $115, Silverstone model costs $150

The silverstone isnt that great.

Stick with the the corsair sfx,30% cheaper & an extra 2 year warranty - no brainer really.

It is reasonably good ,just not great.
Whereas the corsair Is plain great full stop

You dont need 700w , 600w is fine for those parts.

I can't see any reason to spend $35 on a psu that is worse quality & has a shorter warranty is all.

Quite simply the best sfx psu on the market - by a huge margin.

Also I thought it had a 5 year warranty.
It doesn't, it's 7 years 🙂

How come it's a 80+ Gold unit when it was rated Platinum?

It is just efficiency of how it delivers electricity.
Quality is looked how it will technically aspect components and build, not just efficiency.

Re gold vs platinum.

Not entirely sure , very thin line between the 2 anyway.

I'd imagine if say, corsair test 100 units & 2 or 3 fail platinum by even a miniscule amount then the whole range has to be labelled gold.

Imagine if an indaependant tester got,hold,of,a unit,that failed platinum even by a tiny amount on a couple of high load tests ??

Corsair would get ripped to shreds on that.
