Question Corsair 7000D - fans choice and configuration - cooling wise

Hi all,

I want to ask you which 140mm fans to use for the best cooling effect with low noise.

I would have:
  • 3x 140mm in front (or 4x120mm)
  • side 4x120mm (can't have 140mm)
  • at the top, I will have Arctic LF 420mm AIO, so 3x140mm
  • back 1x140mm.
So which 140mm fans do you recommend? There are many to choose from like Noctua A14 PWM chromax, Silent Wings 4 PRO, Thermaltake TOUGHFAN 14 Pro, etc.

Also which one would you choose for 120mm? Noctua A14 PWM chromax, T30 MAX, etc.

As a last question, what would configuration be like? Both front and side front as intake and back and up as exhaust? Or there is any other better solution?

That's good to decide before I start building everything together so I don't do this twice.

Thank you in advance.

I own the Toughfan's and they are noisy at high RPM's but they do push a lot of air for their design. You can go towards the Noctua and Be Quiet! options in favor of silence though I should have you know that noise is s subjective topic.

I would populate the front, top and rear with fans and leave the side as is, that way you stick to all 140mm fans.

Thank you for the answer.

Do you own the old Toughfan or the new PRO version?
