Corsair 750D Best Airflow?

I have the corsair 750D and i plan on doing a build with the gigabyte GTX 970. What airflow would be the best for this case and graphics card? I am also wondering on PSU fan mounting top vs bottom. I read on a official toms hardware thread that bottom was better because GPU and PSU did not fight for air. I will also be filling up all of the fan slots.
I do not want any dead airflow spots of possible. Lowest GPU temp possible. The 750D has fan filters on front top and bottom for PSU. But the top one seems to have big holes on the top compared to the rest?!

The PSU mounts on the bottom in that case , I own it.

There is a nice removable magnetic filter on top.
