I have bought GB GA-990X SLI GAMING and an AMD fx 8350, also Corsair vengeance pro series 2x8GB DDR3 kit @1866. Can't seem to be able to use XMP profile as it won't boot even on 1600 MHz, let alone 1866 that the RAM declares. Also, Speccy is telling me it's single channel, altho I put the DIMMs in slot 3 and 4. Can someone help me? I will provide additional info if needed. Thank you.
EDIT: Solved. The DIMM order on this Gigabyte is 4-2-3-1, so as soon as it got into dual channel it accepted XMP and 1866 freq right away
