Hey everyone,

I have been having some issues with my system lately with what I'm starting to think is either my Mobo or PSU. I have a 1200W AX1200i PSU (stated in the title) and was using Corsair Link to monitor it's output. While the system is idling my 12v is reporting roughly 75-80watts output but what I'm concerned about is the 5V and the 3.3v are apparently doing nothing. So, just a quick story I stream on twitch.tv @ www.twitch.tv/coregamertv and I have been having some serious lag issues with the playback of it. I thought I figured it out and was thinking the lag was coming from the networking side of it but I'm not thinking that is not the case. Also, all of a sudden the issue appeared and I have tried everything to fix the lag. Anyways if you look at the links below the first 2 stream seem to be completely fine with minor hic-ups every so often but the 3rd one with the same settings starts lagging horribly and I didn't change anything about my system. I started to associate the lag with CPU usages and lowered the compression to veryfast and the problem seemed to has gone away. I have been having some other issues with needing to unplug or restart my computer to get some devices to work like keyboard and webcam. Also, had and issues where I couldn't get my system to POST at all until I hit the power supply switch on the back of the unit.

So, back to same question is it normal for the 5v and 3.3v to report nothing? or is there anything else you guys can think of that might cause this issues.

Sorry for the long rant but I'm at my witz end. thank you

Usually when a PSU is under preforming it does not lag things out, rather it crashes the system because lack of power. I can't say I've ever heard of something getting "lag" because of a supply. Your CPU is most likely the issue if you ruled out internet already. Have you check your CPU temps under load using Prime95? If your CPU is overheating, it will downclock itself which can cause "lag" in video compression.

Corsair Link is reporting 32*C idle and 64ish*C under load. I'm using a 5820K @ stock 3.3Ghz.

Hmm IDK than, In any case I highly doubt its your power supply. For one if it really was reporting nothing on the 5v and 3.3v your system most likely wouldn't boot. If it did somehow, any load would crash the computer.
