Planning a new build for my CM Storm Stryker.
CPU- Intel Core i5 4670k
HS- Hyper 212 EVO
MoBo- Asus Z87-A
RAM- Corsair Vengeance LP (2x4)
GPU- Undecided (Asus 7970 more than likely, eventually Crossfired)
HDD- 2 TB Western Digital
SDD- Samsung 840EVO 128GB
OS- Windows 8
Fans- 2x 120mm LED fans, 1x 140mm LED fan, 1x 200mm fan
Thermaltake PSU Calculator estimated about 710W once I have everything including Crossfired GPUs in the future (Only 560W with single GPU).
I'm just wondering what PSU to purchase. Will use for mostly gaming and some Office apps.
Corsair AX860 or XFX Pro Black 850W?
I'm not worried about price, they are about equal anyway. They both are modular and GOLD certified. I think both are made by Seasonic? Any suggestions or opinions would be much appreciated. Also, is 850W around what I should be looking at for my build right now since I don't plan to Crossfire for a while?
P.S Any thoughts on the AX860i series? Worth the extra $ for the DSP control?
Thank's Tom's Hardware Community for being so helpful with all my tech questions.
