Corsair C70 Military Green attempt to make it silent

Hello everyone,

I read the article by corsair on their Military C70 Build Log and liked it so much that want it to be my next build.

The article is building with the following components:

Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth Z77
CPU: Ivybridge 3770K
GPU: Nvidia 480GTX
Case: Vengeance Series C70 (Military Green)
CPU Cooler: Hydro Series H100
PSU: AX Series AX850
Memory: 16GB Vengeance DDR3 Memory (CMZ16GX3M4X1600C9G)
SSD: Force Series 3 120GB
Fans: 3x Air Series AF120 Quiet Edition, 2x SP120 Quiet Edition (for H100)

My attempt is to make this build a silent build as possible. With that in mind please recommend the components or ways to make it silent as possible.

I do understand that case is not designed for silent in mind but with a good effort it might be possible and that is what I want to accomplish.

Please do not recommend other non related hardware changes based on price or performance because my mind is already set on the components that marked with an asterix. In advance thank you for your participation and responses on my quest for a c70 silent build.

Well you have got the cooling fans right 😉 I have 4 of them and can hardly hear them.

While your proposal will work, I would not recommend buying silent edition fans. Instead, get performance edition fans and then a fan controller. (My favorite is the NZXT sentry mesh) For regular use, turn it all the way down, and when you need better cooling, the 'performance' is there. 😛 did it in a corsair 500r, it's barely audible.

keep them they are bloody brilliant you can hardly hear them. I thought that my RPM was low on them as they were that quiet. You wont regret purchasing them I assure you. They are really good, and they shift a lot of cool air into the system.
