Hi,

I bought a new case recently, a Corsair Carbide Spec Delta. It is pretty nice, until I started to try and connect the chassis fans to my ASUS-H110M-A motherboard, which has a 3 pin header for a Chassis Fan, and a 4 pin connector for a CPU fan.

The 3 cables for the front fans, and are connect to a splitter, there is nowhere on this motherboard this splitter will go into.

I bought a CORSAIR RGB hub, and this splitter with a connector thats a 4 circular what apears to be bespoke style. This will not connect into the HUB either. None of the cables in my case fit into this HUB at all. Not a 3 pin, not a 4 pin, I am at a loss.

There was a 3 pin output, from one of the fans, that works one of the fans, but no LED.

I cant get any sort of support from CORSAIR, I am currently working with the rear fan only.

Can anyone explain what I need to do? I am willing to buy the COMMANDER PRO, but I am not even sure this will resolve my issues.

Solution
what you need is a 4 pin 5volt rgb header which is not on your motherboard,
the hub you bought is the corsair proprietary cable one.

I couldn't find a usb 2.0 header to 4 pin 5volt rgb which I know exists looked on a couple of sites

However if you look at the Akasa AK-RLD-02 Vegas RGB LED PCI-E looks like it's selling for £10
here

It will give you manual control of the LED's via a button on the back
(it does allow you to connect to a 4pin header too to allow software to control it but we ruled this out already)

Alternatively you could look at replacing the fans that are compatable with the hub you bought(quiet pricey if you want to mount 6 that the case supports) or look at the UpHere/EZDIY kits etc that come with a remote...
OK thanks mate. I will purchase the Commander Pro. I assume that there will be a wire in the Commander Pro bundle that will connect to my standard 3 or 4 pin chassis fan header?

And yes thanks, I am working out I bought the wrong case for this lol.

I have purchased the Commander Pro, I currently have 3 3-PIN connectors, to power my front fans and 1 3 -PIN connector for my back fan. I have CORSAIR RGB hub, am I right in assuming that all I need to do is connect my LEDs and 4 x 3-PIN connectors into the COMMANDER PRO, and the pro into the HUB, and the HUB into SATA Power?

does nothing go into my chassis fan header on my MOBO?

I am so confused by all this, and I keep throwing stupid money at it.

Why is it so complicated?

To reiterate.

I have the following spec

CORSAIR CARBIDE SPEC DELTA CASE
ASUS H110M-A Motherboard
Intel I5 7500 Processor
16mb Corsair 3000 MHz RAM
1 x 500 gb SSD HDD 1 x 1TB Mechanical
GEFORCE RTX 1660

I have one Y=Splitter, 4 fans, an RBG Hub and a Commander PRO. I have several USB and SATA ports un-used.

Help!!

I am still struggling. My Commander Pro and RGB hub have got 3 of my 4 fans working. YAY!

But still nowhere to put my LED Splitter or the fans directly themselves. I am missing something fundamental I am sure.

Where do I get the special connectors that I seem to need to go in the RGB Hub? How come Corsair wires don't fit in Corsair Hubs/Commander Pro?

Duw duw, this is so complicated!

I have seen a SPLITTY 4 on Overclockers, what will this do ?

Too reiterate, I am almost there. I have my commander pro, connected to rgb hub, my hub and pro connected to sata power, and the pro connected to my USB.

I have no motherboard header. The cables coming from my 120mm corsair fans, do not fit in any of my equipment.

Hope that helps
