Since I have no OC experience in general, I need your help..
Current BIOS 3401.

Tried lots of settings trying to get my ram running at 2933mhz.. Most of them didn't work.. D.O.C.P does not work above 2666Mhz..

Had them finally running at 2933Mhz manually with the stated at D.O.C.P timings ( 15-17-17-17-35 ) i think with 15-17-17-17-52-1T .. It was running for about a week, but i wasn't sure about stability.I tried Prime95 for the first time. If i did it correctly,i had no errors.. Then it didn't boot.. Now i put on the same settings..

But my problem was and still is, that on BIOS i put 15-17-17-17-35 and it makes it on to 16-17-17-17-35 .. I see it on CPU-Z and on BIOS .. Can you help me why is this happening?? Anyone with these kits?

The latest Bios is 3803 however if you can get 2933Mhz then settle for that.
Many have had failure to reach their SPD with Corsair at 3000MHz and after much trial and error I managed 2933Mhz with my Dominators and difficult to maintain stability. I've tried many Bios revisions. A 2T Command rate did it for me.

My recommendation is to return them if possible and get G.Skill Ripjaws (2x8) at 3200MHz F4-3200C16D-16GVK with Bios 3803. They have been tested at 16-18-18-38 and 1.35-1.4V.
If D.O.C.P will not work then again you will have to tweak the Bios manually.

Well yeah i don't think i'm able to return them.

It may or may not settle at 2933Mhz though my problem is that:

1) It fails to post 2-3 times and then it posts. ( the week i had it running at that speed was all okay,no fail-post. )

2) Second, and the main problem,is that my ram is CL15 and i put it 15-17-17-17-35 and it goes for no reason to 16-17-17-17-35.. Why is this happening? Since i guess my max CL is 15?

I also played around with SOC and had it up to 1.2V which seemed to stabilize under load. Keep an eye on your Module temps when playing around with SOC.

Why is this happening.? Very difficult to say definitively. The AM4 platform is very picky with RAM and I believe G.Skill devs did a good job in testing with this platform. Corsair are good but more marketing hype than getting it right imo.

It's been very frustrating for some and ROG devs are still working on getting a stable Bios that addresses OC RAM correctly. That's why I always tell anyone with this platform to make sure you can return the kit before purchase in case of failure. Indicate to the retailer that they do not work and have failed Memtest86. Some retailers will and some won't however RMA is an option for failing modules.

I'm not sure if the retailer will do anything since they are working fine as they will say.

I know AM4 is still picky, but my problem is the latency. It currently posted in 2933Mhz but it makes the latency go from CL15 to CL16 in BIOS and CPU-Z.. I have no idea why is this happening. Is there a problem with that?

Currently manually. Tried D.O.C.P on 2666Mhz still it goes CL16 instead of CL15.

So you think i should let it like this?
I just don't understand how it goes 16. Since it is CL15. And i manyally set it to 15.
