corsair cs 550 reliable?

Is this a good psu for i5 6500 + GTX 960 system or recommend any other psu from this site with in the price range or lower.

It is an entry level power supply, i wouldn't recommend it for gaming. What is your budget and what site can you buy from?

Nice to see a fellow Pakistani here, i myself have purchased from Czone before. What is your budget for the power supply? The Corsair CS550M for 10k Rs on Czone is the cheapest i would suggest for a gaming PC.

CS550M is a somewhat good unit. Not reliable like the decent units. It has quite high ripple in +12v rail which is average, does not have a surge protection, second class teapo capacitors on secondary side. Otherwise good.

If it is only option in your budget, go for it.

The reason i suggest the CS550M is because here there is very little variety and anything better than this would be too expensive.

I dont know what is the problem with my pc. If its psu problem than I have a 1 year warranty and I hope czone will change it. Seasonic, antec, xfx or EVGA psus are not available here and I can only dream of getting AXi or HXi series psus.

VS650 can easily run your system. I would get the warranty and get a RMA. Keep the new unit until it dies. Then buy a new one.
