Hi

I am building my new system very soon but am stuck on which power supply to buy.
All of my systems I have built in the past have been with a corsair 500w, but unfortuantly that has stopped working propperly so I am having to get a new PSU. I am on a tight budget as i have spent most of my money, I have read up that a corsair cx 450 watt psu will be more than enough to get the job done but I am still unsure.

My system
I5-6400 2.7Ghz - 3.3Ghz
R9 270 2gb (will be updated to a gtx 1060 in the future)
12GB G-skill Ram
Asus B150 pro gaming motherboard 1151
1TB HDD
Corsair H55 liquid cooler
4 x Corsair 120mm AF fans
2 x Corsair 140mm fans

What do you guys think, will a Corsair CX 450 be enough to power my system?

Thanks

as you are right now, you are OK. BUT the new vega's are very power hungry, this (in my opinion) allows Nvidia to up the power requirements as well. I think that we'll go away from 150-200W cards that a 450W PSU can cope with and be back with 200-250W cards that I think a 450W PSU will struggle with, get to 500-550 and it won't be an issue for the next upgrade.

for your application, absolutely with the 1060 upgrade. I would suggest the 500w psu for potential future upgrades, but again, 450w is more than fine with your setup :)
