[SOLVED] Corsair CX650M enough for a 5700XT or 3070

I currently have a Ryzen 5 2600 at 4GHz alongside a 1060 6GB and 16 gigs of RAM on a B450-A PRO from MSI. I want to upgrade to a 3070 (if I can find one) or a 5700XT (if I can't), but I'm not sure if 650W will be enough. I know I'll have a CPU bottleneck with either of those cards on a 2600, I'm planning to upgrade to a 3700X or 5600X if I can find one.

I'd prefer not to buy a new PSU as well, any input would be appreciated.

I think your PSU should be able to do the job with both video cards. Just make sure you have the PCI-E connectors needed to power them. As far as bottlenecking goes, I don't think you will have one. Titles are still being optimised for 4 cores. Soon they will start to get optimised for 6 cores, so I...

Games have been using more than 4 cores for several years now. 4 core is bare minimum entry level. COD MW will happily use 12 threads of my 3700x.
 
Not here to argue with people, but as a person on a budget I can say that not everyone can afford the 400$ CPU's :)

I’m not here to here to argue but I don’t like misinformation. Saying games only use 4 cores is wrong and has been for AAA games of the last few years. Try playing Gears 5, COD MW, BF1, BF V especially in large multiplayer maps and many more newer AAA games on a quad core i5. You don’t need $400 cpu, for example the OP’s 2600 with 6 cores and 12 threads is a good cpu for half that.
 
I play at 1080p for the time being, at some point in the future I'll go to 1440 when 240hz 1440 displays aren't $1000. My current PSU has two 6+2 pin PCIe cables, so it should be fine.
At 1080p you are more likely to be cpu limited in some games but not enough to worry about. As for 1440p 240Hz, I guess for esports would work well but my RTX3080 seems a perfect match for 1440p 144Hz so for AAA games I’d say we are still a long way off 200+ FPS at 1440p.

I play Valorant primarily, so it's perfectly reasonable, provided my CPU can keep up.
