Corsair CX750M cables for GPU

I'm understanding that you're saying your PSU has 2x 6+2 connectors, and your GPU needs 2x8 pin connectors? Yes, these will work fine for your graphics card. Just make sure to plug in the +2 connector as well.

No, a cable came with the PSU and it has an 8 pin connector on one end (With one pin knocked out) and the cable splits into TWO 6+2 Pin connectors. I am confused as to how the 8 pin connector draws enough power for 16 pins?

You mean like this?

If so, yes it's still safe to use and it does draw enough power. It's because all the cables are attached to the same +12V Rail. The rail doesn't care how many cables are attached to it, and delivers the amperage being demanded by what the cable is attached to. So an 8 pin splitter to 6+2 pins will deliver power to 16 pins because it demands that power from the rail. The job of the splitter is to split the amperage for 16 pins evenly between the two 8-pin connections. This should still be safe to use.

hey guys i was just wondering but i'm building a new pc and plan to run sli with two 970's does most power supplies come with enough cables to power them or do i need to buy it elsewhere?

Most 80+ Bronze or better power supplies will have the appropriate cables. You will want to make sure you have enough wattage to power both of those cards, however.

i'll be running two 970's with a i7-4790k think 750w will be enough?

Yes it will be "enough" with a good Seasonic or other 80+ Gold rated, but you won't have much headroom if you overclock something.
