I am confused on how to connect this card to my power supply. I have the Corsair cx750m and the card is an EVGA GTX960 SSC 4GB. If it also helps, I have the ASUS 97-A Motherboard.

The card came with an adapter, but the instructions say to use the PCIE power cables from PSU first, if not having one from PSU, then to use the adapter.

Ugh...the instruction illustrations are not very helpful because the illustration does not match with my card.

I would think that my PSU is proper for this card...so can someone help me on how to connect?

Can I just use one of the PCI-E Type 3 cable from Corsair that came with my PSU? NOTE: this cable has 8 pins on one end, and then at the other end are 2 separate 6+2 pin connectors.

DO I simply plug the 8 Pin into PSU, then use 1 of the 6+2 Pin connectors on the Graphics Card?

Solution
Do exactly what you said last: Plug the 8 pin into the PSU and use one of the 6+2 plugs for the graphics card.
The adaptor is for those cheap, nasty power supplies that have no PCI-E leads.
