"Corsair Dominator GT 12GB 2000mhz" compatibility with "i7 970 Gulftown LGA-1366"

Hello everyone,
I have the Alienware Area 51 (Late 2009) equipped with:

i7 970 Gulftown LGA-1366 3.2 GHz 12mb Cache
EVGA 970 FTW Edition (intending to 2 way SLI)
Stock Alienware motherboard, Model: "0XDJ4C A03", with Intel Chipset X58
Alienware 1100Watt Multi-GPU Approved

The motherboard has 3 memory slots.

The motherboard is limited to 12GB ram, and unfourtantly I'm not intending on changing it (yet),
my current Memory is one Kingston HyperX 8GB 1600mhz ram.

The memory is not enough, considering I do quite heavy multitasking (ex. I play DA: inquisition while converting videos or syncing HDDs in the background, I sometimes do heavy renders and video-editing too.)

I should also mention that this one ram in a three channel setup leads to crashes sometimes when I'm pressuring the memory too much.

So I was considering buying a new 12 GB three channel memory, after a bit of research I found the Corsair Dominator 12GB 3x4gb 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 "CMP12GX3M3A1600C9" to be the best option.

After searching a bit more I found the 2000mhz GT edition with 9-10-9-27 latency (CMT12GX3M3A2000C9), but some people had some problems with it with the i7 970

So will the 2000mhz GT work ?
If not, will the 1600mhz version work ?

Go with 1600mhz version because it will suit your processor better than the 2000Mhz one , and it will serve your purpose very well

Are you OCing the CPU? To run 2000 will take a healthy OC

No, but how much will I need to OC the Processor to handle the 2000mhz?
I also just discovered that the motherboard's limit is 1600mhz, so I don't think that I can overcome that ?
