What is the difference, really?.
I don't get it....

I will use a GTX100i V2, the height of them is not a problem for me. I just want to know why the Dominator is better.

comes down to whatever you like the look of really, and if its the dominator platinum is it worth the extra cost to ya

Performance wise they are the same. If you don't care about the look of one or the other, get the cheaper ones. The heat sinks don't actually do anything useful (power consumption is so low there is little heat to disperse).

If it was my purchase I would get the LPX due to price (I also don't like the appearance of the Dominator's).
The LPX will allow you to use air coolers if you want to while the Dominators will cause clearance issues.
