Dear all,

I was planning to build a new gaming rig and as money is tight I needed your help whether my GS 800 (http://www.pc-specs.com/psu/Corsair/Corsair_GS800_800W/50) is still compatible/good for it? The more I read the more confused i get. The rig;

- I5-8600K (not OCed but maybe in the future).
- GTX 1060 6GB.
- Motherboard MSI Z370 A-PRO.
- 2x8 GB DDR4 maybe 3000MHz.
- 1 SSD, 1HDD etc.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Looking at that other thread,the ram seems fine to me. Just look for good ram in between 2666mhz and 3200mhz. Look at latencies too,but since ram is expensive if 2400mhz with good latencies (is lower) is much cheaper just go for that.If working at 1.2V at that speed could you even look at really overclocking it,but that's another story.

Thank you Phillip. I thought so, but people were getting into voltage/amperage, pins connectors etc. discussions.Thank you for your help and Vic 40 also. So I am considering this as "solved". And please if you have any inputs on the build and RAM in particular, more then welcome.

Thank you shark. I know that 800W is an overkill, but it is still kicking and has served me flawlessly so far. Any thoughts on the build, especially I am undecided on the RAM.
Thank you again.
