So as of right now my AMD FX 8370 is being cooled by an Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 air cooler. My question is, is it worth upgrading to the h100i now? Will it be more quiet with that cooler and will it run colder?
They are also far quieter in the acoustics test there than the H105.
The 105 has the advantage at STOCK cooling temps, but you aren't aiming for stock with that 8370 now, are you?
Nope, the CPU is at stock speeds and turbo on, not planning on overclocking at all, it does what I need it to do
Still think you might consider this: the stock idle and load figures are about 3 degrees difference, but are based on an intel chip - cooler at the same load than the 9370.
The x41 for around $100 is quieter and has more cooling potential as temps might rise under load than the H105.

So I should pick up the x41 then?
I'm getting ready to upgrade here, so I've been eating and breathing this stuff lately - I am CHEAP, lol. No, I mean really cheap. I'd say the numbers and specifics make it a better match for that 9370, but that's my opinion. Whatever you decide on, I hope you have good luck with it!
i just don't see the benefit over an noctua nh-15 or other air coolers, especially considering the complitcation of water cooling and the possibility of leakage risk -
