Corsair H100i v2 HELP

All,

I am in the process of creating a new PC build and have hit a snag.

I have a Corsair H100i v2 water cooler which has three fan connectors and whatever is seen in the picture below.

I have no idea if that is necessary and where to connect it.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I have the manual. Step 5 just talks about connecting it to the motherboard but nothing about that specific connector

It says:
• Connect the pump power cable to the CPU_FAN header on your motherboard.
• Connect the fans to the two connectors coming off the pump.

Can you identify the cables coming from fans and those coming from pump?

haha that might be my problem.

My Parts:
ASUS Strix motherboard
H100i v2


Here is my current setup:
- Two fans on the radiator connected to the Phantek Evoloo case fan controller which is connected to the MB
- The pump (or what i think is the pump - piece connected to the chip) has a fan connector which I have connected to the w_pump connector on my ASUS mb.
It also has the connector that I dont know what to do and the images I posted are of.

Then I suggest leaving the pump connected to the w_pump and connecting the 2 radiator fans not to the fan controller, but to the CPU_Fan and CPU_Opt if on board. If CPU_Opt not available, then you can connect the second fan to the fan controller.

Thanks and what do i do about this connector on the pump? It has 3 or 4 pins so couldnt connect to the fan header. Does it somehow connect to the PSU?

You're welcome.
The one that is connected to the w_pump leave it as it is, the one that should be used for the radiator fans, leave it not connected.

ok so i dont need to worry about connecting the one in the images i posted?

the fans and pump get their power from the fan headers i guess?
