So I have a new H110i and its making what I would consider way too much noise. I have corsair link downloaded and can control the fans manually. I can hear the difference in fan noise when changing the RPMs on them from high to low but that is not whats making the sound. It is a very loud buzzing/vibrating sound.

I assume it is the radiator making all the noise (or maybe the pump)? Whatever it is its quite loud. I can hear my PC buzzing from outside of my room, even while my PC is idle and my cpu usage is <5%. It also makes the entire case vibrate, and if my case is touching my desk, that vibrates too.

Here is a video of the sound. Hopefully someone can tell me if these sounds are normal or not. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxGdCiSyShA&feature=youtu.be

it's propably the pump, if the pump has a PWM connector you can try connecting it to your motherboard and decreasing the pump speed using the BIOS or software like speedfan, if not you could connect it to a fan controller and decrease the speed that way.

Are you sure your fans are running at 100%? I had the fan controller on a H100 fail before and left the fans at 100% until it finally just stopped working.

I would download Corsair software and see what settings its on. It has like 3 modes by default of Quiet, Balance and Performance. If its on performance it will be running nearly full speed all the time for the best temps.

The other option could be is your pump has failed or is failing and temps are going up, which will mean the fans trying extra hard to move air.

The pump is connected to the motherboard. I was under the impression you could not lower the speed of the pump. It currently runs a ~2300 rpm while idle

I am already using corsair link. I have used it to raise the fans up and down and I can hear them changing speeds. The sound is not coming from the fans. Its coming from the radiator/pump.

You might need to buy some teflon/nylon washers. There's a reoccurring issue with Corsair pumps and some newer motherboards being too thin. With the design of the screws that have a stopping point, it's probable the pump is nowhere near tight enough (tighter is better for the pump). Stick the washers between the motherboard and backplate. This'll shorten up the screws a few threads and allow for a tighter connection.

And yes, Corsair's fans are quite loud, I'd not bother with the Corsair Link at all, just connect the fans directly to cpu_fan header, your bios settings are more useful.

Hey so I did what you said and manually set the speeds and now it is MUCH quiter. AI Suite and Speedfan both still show it running at the same rpm though, 2.3k (I suspect this may be because its watercooling?). What I did in the bios was set it to a manual RPM. I set it to run at 60% power (lowest possible) while under 40 degrees, 80% power when under 60, and 100% when under 70. Currently my PC is idling at ~38 degrees so I would think thats cool enough (its overclocked).

Yeah I can tell the fans aren't that good quality. When the fan speeds get a bit high they keep making a ticking noise. Luckily with my new settings they don't ever get that high. Highest temp I have seen the CPU go is 65-70 and that's under full load (with a hefty overclock), and I cant really hear it through my headphones, so I think I am good.
