corsair h110i fit in a thor case?

i was wondering if the new corsair h110i gt would fit in to the Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case. it has a 230mm fan installed on top alredy(or two 140mm fans).

No, it won't support even a 280mm without severe modification. Just the 240mm models are a tight fit without any modifications. Apparently, despite it's overall size, it really wasn't designed with liquid cooling as a priority. All indications are that 280 and 320mm radiators are a no go on this case. Do you already have the Thor or are you looking to get a case in a similar price range that will support a larger radiator?

i was looking to buy it for my new comp i am building. i just saw the brand new h110i and that would be a must for the AMD 9590 8-core cpu at 5 Ghzstock, plus Overclocking. know of any that would fit it? preferably black and red...

Let me have you hold that thought. I understand you want a strong performance chip, so let me ask what your main computing intentions are? What do you mainly intend to do with your rig? Gaming? High end applications like rendering video or audio production? I don't know how much investigation you've done on the 9xxx series chips, but I've done intensive research on it as part of a forthcoming project here and I have to say, even being a traditionally AMD faithful, that they are pretty terrible.

Any which way you decide to go with the build, the case I'd recommend at or near the cost of the Thor V2, that DOES support up to a 320mm top mounted radiator, would be the Phanteks Enthoo Pro:

I am using it with dual 290x. I am using it for high graphic rendering and gaming.

I'd highly recommend the Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 for your uses. It will be a much less expensive solution considering it's current price of 252.00 plus not needing any additional cooling solution. This chip is the i7-4790k without integrated graphics, so it's 8 threads and single core performance are basically unmatched without moving up to an X series Intel chip.

You can also use a MUCH cheaper board with it at no loss of quality since overclocking is neither necessary nor possible. The ASUS H97-Plus is a good choice and supports AMD crossfireX up to X4 GPUs. It also supports M.2 if fast storage is desired. Overall you'd have a stronger performer, with much less thermal consideration and a way lower cost.

Another factor is the fact that the 9590, as you probably know, cannot be used with any but the highest tiered AM3+ boards, the cheapest of which is the Gigabyte UD5 at about 150 bucks. It's highly recommended though to use a Sabertooth or Crosshair board with those chips as the 225w TDP is an extreme stress on the motherboard. Just a thought, but when I move from my FX-8320@4.5Ghz it will absolutely be to an i7 or Xeon chip.
