Hello Members of Tom's Hardware I just built my new PC and I hooked up my H110i GT and connected everything as instructed. But when I turned on my PC the Fan's were not running and the LED was not on despite the 30 degrees I was getting I thought it was just a problem with not having Corsair Link installed so I quickly installed it and it didn't detect I had an H110i GT I have solved the problem with the fan's by plugging one into a header on the motherboard and another into the fan controller (I believe that's what it's called) that came with my Phanteks Enthoo Pro case. The temperatures are fine but I really want to have the LED enabled it's one of the features that swayed my opinion towards this cooler. Please and Thank you in advance here are my specs

Windows 8.1

MSI Gaming 5 Motherboard

Asus GTX 980

EVGA Supernova 1000W G2

Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case

Sounds like Corsair Link is not detection your H110i GT cooler. Try moving the USB link header from the pump to a different USB head on your MB and see if that will get your cooler detected in Link.

Is the LED on the pump even lit?
awhile ago i posted to someone how to fix the software buggyness the short version is the reg edit is now a last resort since i did the edit and about 2 weeks later the pump failed .

back to the fix remove all the software go to %appdata% delete any corsair folders/ link power down unplug the usb header from the cpu block

leave the power for the pump plug in

turn pc on

redownload the link software you may have to try the first release with 8.1 support i had to use 3-4 different ones before my pc found the cooler install the version you want
dont let it run restart first if your pc sees the h100i then good if not do the steps over deleting ect and try another version if none work if you have a spare cable that fits can be internal usb or external usb with the same mini usb its either a a/b plug connect it ,if the pc sees the cooler you got a defective cable do a rma on it . took them a few days to do that but the rma part was to my house in under a day once it shipped

just run that till you get a new one.

if that doesnt work check your mb bios you may have to in able i forget what setting it deals with older usb devices/ compatibility
then as tsuneo6 linked try the reg edit that was needed for before win 8 support and right after now i dont think its needed still but its been about 8 months since i removed the h100i from my pc

corsair link software is the buggiest piece of shit i have ever used next to Logitechs headset drivers .even when it ran fine it would crash randomly if you had push pull config that wasn't the fans that came with it

No My Pump LED isn't on

I also tried moving it to another USB I header I will try it again after I try the other responses I got.

The Sata Power Connector is connected and when I hook up the fans to the provided fan headers they don't spin so I had to connect them to headers on my motherboard. The Led does not even turn on or anything when connected to the pump

Any possibility it could even be a power problem because I can see it being that the fan's don't turn on the LED does not shine I guess it can make sense.... What can I do to test this?

Yes, it does sound like the pump unit itself is not being powered properly - the fact that there is no LED and fan not running when connected to the hub. If I had to guess, the power controller that is sitting on top of the pump must have gone faulty.

You've just purchased the cooler right? If so, I can arrange an Express RMA for you so you can avoid system downtime. I can also assist you with the shipping arrangement. Go ahead and create a ticket here, Corsair.force.com . Once a ticket # is assigned to you, send it to me so I can make the proper request.

I sent the Ticket to your private message box

Thank you so much for your help! I just follow what they tell me from now right?

I had same problem, and the problem was with SATA connector which i tout it is for Intel motherboard but its not, you have to plug it PSU the plugin which gives HDD sata power, so this cable SATA is power for pump, plug this and you are ready to go 😉
