Is it really worth the extra money for the gt version of the h110i? I'll be pairing it up with the i7 6700k cpu that will be overclocked at 4.6ghz! Or is the usual h110i enough? Also, what are the differences of these 2 coolers?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!

The differences are in the pump and fans. The GT/GTX models have a different heat plate installed allowing for it to wick away the heat from the CPU more efficiently. This is combined with a quieter pump and more efficient fans add up to a quieter and better cooling system.

The reason to choose a AIO cooling solution is that Big Air Coolers are heavy and can damage the motherboard where as the pump/cooling plate is light and the main weight is supported by the case and not around the CPU socket.

I personally have the H100i GTX model and find it to be quieter than the H100i standard model. This comparison is first hand since I build my sons PC with the H100i.

Either one will be enough for the OC your looking for but the difference will be how quietly it does the job.

I know that the h220 from swiftech is better than the corsair coolers. But I have OCD, I want to stick to one branding on all of my components, all of my components are from corsair. Except the SSD. Oh not to mention, I researched a lot about the h110i gtx and it turns out that the gt version is way more better. So yeah back to the question. H110i GT or standard H110i?

Well, thank you for sharing to me that the h110i gt is a rebrand now, which is now the h115i.

Sorry if I keep posting these "versus AIO coolers". The reason I'm doing these is because so many people are asking me on what they're pc build specs should be. It's not for my own personal gain.
