Hi

So I'm kinda new to building my own computer and all and a few weeks ago I bought a Corsair H45 Cooler.

Everything was working fine until yesterday evening when it just started making this kinda grinding slurping noise.

The computer was moved recently because I'm attending university but I moved to my accommodation a few days ago and it was fine until last night.

I'll upload a video of the sound for you guys to listen to (sound starts about 8 seconds in) so if you have any idea what it could be please help me out, thanks.

Solution
Get your data off of it first, if you have any, then disconnect it.

If it is acting up....which it sounds like it is....it could possibly pull the psu voltage down and cause problems.

Ah sorry I forgot to mention, that fan isn't plugged in, I got a new case recently and the fan came with it but there's no space on my motherboard to plug it in. I didn't really have anywhere to keep it so I left in in the case for now. And also as far as I'm aware there's nothing touching the fan blade of the cooler. But thank you anyways.

Okay so I've had another look at my computer and it seems I've been mistake as to where the noise was coming from. It was coming from a new harddrive I'd installed not the cooler. I'm thinking I should just take the harddrive out until I can get a new one, or would it be okay to leave it in?
