Corsair H50 Cooler Enough for an i7-7700k build?

I'm upgrading my rig and have [mostly] decided on an i7-7700k, Asus Prime Z270-A, and G.Skill TridentZ RGB Series DDR4 3000 (or something similar). I already have a good PSU and GPU, so I was wondering if my current cooler, a Corsair H50, would suffice for now for the 7700k (I'll probably get a different case later this year and will have different options for cooling - I know this cpu runs hotter than others). If it would be better to get different (newer, better?) cooler, could I get some advice on the best one to get? My current case is an Antec 900, so I think I need a single 120mm fan.

Mobo: Asus P6X58D-E || CPU: Intel Core i7-930 || GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1
|| RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws 12GB DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) || PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 850
G2 || CPU Cooler: Corsair H50 || Case: Antec Nine Hundred

Another concern is its age, though -- I've had that cooler for 7 years, and I just read that liquid coolers shouldn't be used for more than 5 years or so due to tube permeation. Should I be looking at just getting a new one, maybe the same cooler but just a new one? Newegg has it listed for around $60.

You should be able to tell if/when its cooling performance degrades, so there's no urgent need to replace it.

It's not good value for money, at $60 you could do a lot better with an air cooler, but anyway you might as well hold on to it for now.

Errr... Before one should answer that question... Please answer this first:

1. Are you going to delid the cpu?
2. Are you going to overclock? if yes how high of an overclock do you aim for?

If your answer is no to both, then just get an 212 evo or something like that since they will do pretty mutch the same job for less money.

It would be quite outta place. There are many air coolers for 50 - 70% of the h50 which will keep your CPU cooler and make a lot less noise. There is no CLC type water coolers which can match comparable priced air coolers.

The Antec 900 has a CPU clearance of:

Max CPU Cooler Height Allowance = 165 mm

Scythe MUGEN Max - $37
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA9ZH3S91415
Dimensions = 145 x 86 x 161 mm

As you can see here it runs neck and neck with the $90 Cryoric R1 Ultimate

A 212 Evo costs more than an already owned cooler (which costs nothing).

He already has the H50.

I agree that it's not a great thing to go out and buy, but when you already have it, it's a decent cooler to hang on to.

Thanks for the answers everyone, and no worries lumineZ -- actually you got me thinking about delidding because I wasn't familiar with it. I'm planning on overclocking at some point but not immediately, I want to make sure I have the best cooling first. Happy to hear that I can stick with this ol' boy at least for now...this current setup of mine has been a little beast for a long time, no complaints.

Thanks again!

Hehe well I should have been reading more carefully :D
About the delid part... There are risks involved but you will gain good temps.
An example:
My 7700k at stock speeds without delid = 86 - 89 celcius. @ 4,8GHz = 92 - 94 celcius

My 7700k at 5GHz after delid and liquid metal = avg. 54 celcius with 55 celcius at the package

This temps was recorded with Aida64 stress test running.

( this is with a custom water cooled loop ofc )
