Corsair H50 Water Cooling Installation Question

Hello,

I'm currently installing a "Corsair H50 Water Cooling" cpu block into my system and I have a question about the installation. My motherboard is a "Asrock Z77 Extreme 6" and around the cpu is a black casing that snaps it down. In the corsair instructions, it doesn't say anything about removing it, even though I'm quite sure I'm supposed to.

Before I do something I might regret, just wanted to post on here and see what everyone thinks.

NO. That stays on. That is the pressure plate that applies the required contact pressure to the processors pins. Follow the instructions.
