Just replaced my stock cooler with the Corsair H55.
However, I plugged the fan pins into the wrong header, and the pump pins into the CPU fan header. As such, the thing was loud as fck. It still ran fine.
After looking for a solution online, I got all these complicated solutions suggestion bios controllers to regulate fan voltage etcetc. Anyway, the solution was simply I had them in the wrong plugs.
So, I'm writing this to help other tech-noobs.
