Even though I have an i7-6700 (not the overclockable one), I wanted a new cooler that was quiet; the stock cooler was kinda loud. I got the 2018 version of Corsair H60 because a lot of people said they had low temps and low noise.

I was able to install the H60, but I didn’t know which cable went where. There is a 4pin cable from the fan and a 3pin cable for the pump. Where do they go?
I tried putting the 4pin for CPU-Fan and 3pin where the case fans go, but that didn’t seem right. My temps were really high and the fan noise was loud.

Have you checked that the block is sitting snugly on there, also have a look for a thin sheet of plastic they sometimes put there as well.

I'd also check that the pump is running, you can usually just feel around to see if you can feel the flow of liquid in the tubing or vibration in the block. Also if you havent plugged it straight into a sata power connection make sure your motherboard is running it at a decent speed.
Get back if you find anything 😉
