Hi
I just finished installing the H60 on my old PC and was wanting to know does this have a burn- in period??
As in does this cooler function as soon as installed or will it need some time to perform its best?
Am using it on stock CPU- 3.06Ghz Intel i3 540

So you mean 200hrs while the PC is running or 200 hours from the time the cooler is installed?

HA! in the terrible manual that corsair supply with it says somewhere in small print that for the liquid to settle it will approximately take 200 hours, all of you are right in saying that it works from installation straight away but ive noticed on other forums that people are having problems with it making a clicking noise from where there is trapped air.

but yes it works as soon as you install it.

So basically what they saying is that the trapped air might make some noise when passing the pump for up to ~200hours of use from installation ?

That make sense.

Trapped air means you have an airlock. This also means the manufacturer is TELLING YOU that their product is prone to failing to function as a cooler out of the box as a 'working as designed' feature.

No liquid cooler - full water loop or closed loop - should do this. Coolant/water should flow correctly the instant it is powered on to correctly cool like the loop should. You can fix airlocks by rotating and tapping the radiator with the pump running. Also, installing a closed loop cooler so the in/out tubes on the radiator are down and not up, will help.

yes it shouldnt do this but, it happens. its corsair lol

basically yes, its terrible but that just how corsair are im afraid.

i love corsair but that is the only annoying they find with them.
