I have been struggling with my Corsair H60 cooling fan being very loud for a while now. It seems like it has gone in spurts of being so unbearably loud, and then being pretty quiet for maybe a week at a time. Problem is, I recently started a podcast, meaning I can’t really have my recording PC sound like a dying animal in the room.

Here is a video where you can hear the sound (this was after a month without using it, it definitely wasn’t hot): https://imgur.com/gallery/jFz3IVq

Some others have said that it sounds like the fan blades are dusty or rubbing on something. I took out the fan, completely cleaned all the blades, tried to look carefully to see if any parts were rubbing, and no luck.

Is my only option to by new cooling? Any advice is appreciated.

Solution
Besides the H60 (old version) fan been loud, that one sounds like the fan blades are rubbing against something, maybe the fan shroud.
The new model comes with a better fan, which is a little quiet.
Have you tried changing the position of the radiator, if there another place available, like horizontal on top instead of vertical.
You could replace the fan.
There are air coolers that perform better than the H60 while been very quiet (Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO / CRYORIG H7 ).
