Hi guys, i bought the pc above around 1.5 months ago and have noticed that the h60 pump isn't working. in idle core temps are between 65-75. however the moment i launch a game they are up in the high 90's. any solutions?

Solution
Have you tried plugging it into a molex fan adapter? That would be my next step, then based on those results, I'd pull the cooler and verify the pump has good contact with the CPU itself. If it looks as if it does and the pump is plugged into a molex fan adapter, and your still seeing those temps, at that point I'd get a new cooler, or have whoever built it send a replacement.
power down and unplug pc from wall check to see if pump is plugged into MB and that there are no connections anywhere that are unplugged. if not plug the power cable into SATA connector and fan into CPU fan header. if your pump failed then you will need to contact Corsair or whoever you bought it from for a possible replacement. or you can buy another one and installer yourself. do not continue to operate your PC in this manner until you get adequate cooling

Yes and no, depending on how the system is set up.

Can you feel any vibration from the pump when the PC is running?? The only pump failure I had cooked the cpu and damaged the socket itself in a very short space if time (less than 2 minutes); I am wondering if a "Silent fan" option has been enabled somewhere; the pump really needs to run at full power.

If you can feel vibration from the pump, you have the following options.

Shut down and move the pump cable to a normal fan header, or to a power cable with a fan adapter.

Dig into the BIOS and any fan control software you are running and adjust the RPM settings, so the pump is at least running at 60% on minimum.

No vibration, then it is probably dead, although you could try the first option, just to make sure it isnt a case of it not receiving enough voltage to turn the motor over.

i can feel vibration from the pumps, i plugged the pump into cpu fan header 2 and set it to full speed. however, the same issue occurs of idle core temps of 70+ and when gaming 90+. any other solutions?

Pull the cpu cooler cover to clean and re-apply a VERY thing layer of a good thermal paste, screw it down tight and even; then check the pipes arent kinked, and the radiator isnt clogged and that the fan is moving freely - and pushing the air OUT of the case.

It SHOULD work fine for your system, I ran the H45 on a cpu drawing MUCH more power with no issues.

I should add, dont tighten down one corner all the way, then the next; this can damage the chip.

Go finger tightish on one screw, then the opposite screw, then the others. THEN tighten down a bit more using the same pattern.

I once saw a guy shatter a huge cast iron pipe by fully tightening bolt one, then bolt two, then bolt three, then CRRRACK!!!!!
