If the dimensions for the Corsair C70 case quoted above are accurate, fitting the Noctua NH D14 inside this case should not be a problem as it is only 160mm tall.
As said above, the D14 has great memory clearance.
In the case of my system the NH D14 and H80i perform similarly, but the NH D14 has lots of headroom, my system simply did not push enough wattage to hit the limit of either cooler.

Yogi read the review in your link again. Don't just look at the graph, that is a value analysis not performance analysis. If you read the paragraph above the graph if says it did not out perform the H100i but showed at the top of the graph because its cost vs performance was the best as water cooling is generally quite alot more expensive.
