Corsair H80iGT CPU cooler dead?

When pc is booted the H80iGT fans go full speed and once at the desktop screen pc shuts down every time. When feeling area around cpu it is extremely hot. First I thought it was the pump but when listening closely it seems to be working. Is the cooler dead or is there a cable connection issue?

Unless a pump dies or liquid leaks, only other things to look for is that pumps runs at full speed or there's something wrong with mounting it.
