Hi,
I just got an R9 290 with a reference cooler and was thinking about watercooling it using the Corsair HG10 however I would like to stay under budget and I wouldn't want to use a Corsair AIO cooler just because it's pretty expensive and thought about using something cheaper like the Cooler Master Seidon, however I'm not sure whether the HG10 is compatible with a non Corsair cooler.

tl;dr: Is the HG10 compatible with non Corsair coolers?

Solution
The HG10 would likely NOT be compatible with non-Corsair Hydro Series liquid CPU coolers. This is because different vendors use specific bracket configs to mount their hardware. I would not recommend trying this.

If you are going to spend the money, do it right (and what you know will work) and not risk your time, money, and system.

Good luck!

Great info there. However, I would still be cautious. If you have any issues with the hardware, you'll be stuck with it and possibly damage something along the way.

However, RobCrezz is correct. It "should" be compatible as he indicates, as confirmed by the source he linked.

I can say with a high level of confidence, because it was the same with the NZXT Kracken G10 bracket, didnt matter weather you used a corsair H55/H60 or NZXT X40 or any other different branded Asetek build cooler, they all had the same mounting system.
