Hi,
I am looking to get a really quiet PSU (without voiding the warranty).

I have seen that people replace the fans on these units, but it voids the warrantly.

I've read a lot of complaints about the OCZ's fan. I currently have this PSU. It is pretty loud even at idle.

I've unplugged all my case fans and it is still audible from 10' away.

I've read that the HX 750 is way less noisy. But after I ordered it, I see that they both use the same fan Yate Loon D14BH-12.

I'm just wondering if I'm now in the same exact place I was... Anyone have any experience with this?

Replace the OCZ unit immediately and use the HX 750. OCZ used Great Wall for that PSU and they're not great. Like Blackbird advised, replace it.

Great! What makes the corsair better? I'm just curious and would appreciate the info

Okay- so this will result in lower fan noise? I see the HX 750 only turns the fan on when it needs to. When this happens, will it be loud?

My guess is that when watching 1080p/DTS HD MA files, the PSU won't have to power the fans?

My concern is idle noise. When gaming, it should be fine, as long as it doesn't sound like a vacuum cleaner.
