Hi,

My computer turned off out of the blue yesterday, I opened it up, checked everything, and it turned out to be the PSU. I tried with another PSU and the computer booted up fine, the HX1000i did not even pass the paper clip test. I already submitted my warranty ticket and they approved it, I'm just a bit worried that maybe Corsair is not as good. How good is Corsair? How reliable are these power supplies anyway? What do you think? I'm just a bit thrown off right now, I don't want my computer to break again, I need it to be reliable for work.

Thanks!

Is the HX1000i a good PSU at least? I don't have the money to buy another PSU right now and it's still under warranty. I've seen and read a lot of good reviews about it, I didn't think it was a bad PSU when I bought it. Should I trust it or start saving for another one? I'm really worried and confused right now.

I thought my problem was already solved but it's not. Right now I decided to try the paper clip test one more time just to see what would happen, and the PSU passed it, I tried it just with some fans though, not under load (maybe that's why it worked). I am afraid to connect them to other components because I don't want to risk them dying along with the PSU. So yesterday a little while after the computer turned off and everything started, the PSU would not pass the test. Now one day later, it does pass it. Do you still think it's the PSU or could it be something else? This has me really worried and confused :$

EDIT: Nevermind, I kept the fan running for a while and the PSU turned off, it's definitely the PSU
