As far as I know, the HX series, at least the 650w and 750w are made by Seasonic so are probably a similar unit to the X-Series. I'd say get either.

The 750w is made by CWT , and not close to the quality of a X SERIES Seasonic.

I have a question, why are most people against the RM series in general even though it is tier 2?

for me it was size corsair was longer and for my case the seasonic was the best fit , but I would use either one i'm glad my buddy got the corsair ahead of me and it was long and at first I did not look to take that in to account and may have been an issue installing in my case
