Question Corsair iCUE LS100 Smart Lighting

I am considering investing in the Corsair iCUE LS100 lighting starter kit, having the space behind my monitor lit up would add a really nice ambience to my PC area.

However I have heard some reports that this system can cause significant PC performance loss and FPS dips in games?

Has anyone any experience of this system and if so does it cause a negative impact upon performance?

IMHO, it's best if you wait out the storm with early adopters until the bugs have been ironed out.

That's one of the threads yeah, the reviews on the Amazon page mention similar issues. I wonder if it was an earlier version if ICUE rather than the hardware itself?
