corsair k70 brown switch availability?

guys you have any idea when is the availability of the corsair k70 brown switches? so far it is the red switches only..

no idea however you can get other keyboards with browns.

i know but i really loved the way corsair k70 is constructed very sturdy and very easy to clean.. I have already subscribed in their website for the release of the said switches but still no words..

speaking about cleaning... by the very nature of how the cherry keyswitches are designed... everything funnels down into the keyswitches. while dust isnt really a problem and dirt isnt really a problem any liquid will destroy your keyboard. i had it happen to me so just a fair warning.

the only mechanical keyboard that i know of which is rather liquid resistant is the unicomp customizer.

i agree that the k70 seems to be built rather well for the price. why are you set on brown keyswitches if i may ask?

I have read somewhere that cherry brown is great for gaming? or it is only a claim?, and blue led of it is kind of my theme in my rig, and im not really into the k70 cherry mx red that has almunimum with blue led, kinda like the gunmetal finish of the cherry mx brown with blue led

browns are actually good for typing. they are a quieter (non audible feedback) version of blues.

gaming keyswitches are typically linear (no tactile feedback or audible feedback) so are just a key with a spring under it. they are rather horrible to type on though. the red and black are both linear.

brown will work for gaming and typing while being a bit more quiet than blues.

okay thanks man so i guess ill be fine with red switch right? right now i got a black switch keyboard, to tell the truth im very satisfied with it for gaming but sometimes its cramming, and one thing it lacks is the backlit on it thats why im looking forward to a k70n for its backlit..

if you already like blacks... reds shouldnt be too much different.

i dont think the regular k70 has backlighting the new one maybe does lke you said

if you can do without the aluminum base... take a look at wasd or maxkeyboards. max has backlighting and allows you to pick what switches you want. a bit more money though.

as i have read and seen on video all k70 has backlightning to it, red and blue led just different finishes..
