Hello!

Is it possible to change the keycaps on the corsair k70 rgb keyboard?

I had the one with brown switches ordered but it has so long delivery time so i changed to the one with red switches instead, but now i wanna know since i cant find any info if you can change the keycaps or not.

And if it is possible would it be stupid to just like change some of them like wasd, f, r, e, q, shift, space, ctrl to brown swiches and leave the rest as red?

have anyone done this and does it feel very weird when you type etc then?

i may be tottaly happy with red switches as i game alot and alot of fps and action games i have not used any other then brown for a little while at my friends house but overall brown switches are always rated as best one for both gaming/typing while some says red is the best of all.

But i have ordered the k70 rgb red switches now but just wanna know if you can cgange the caps if i ever feel like so.

caps and switches are different. Caps are the plastic things you press on, switches are the things under it that decide whether you pressed it far enough or not. You can change the caps because they are basically plastic/metal tops for the switches. The switches which is what you are talking about (red switches vs brown switches) are a lot harder to change. I'm not sure if you can change them, but if you can it won't be as easy as changing the caps.

Yea i mean switches not caps. i have heard that on some you need to solder etc to change them while on others they are easier, do you have any idea about the k70 rgb one if its hard or not?

Changing the key caps is an easy task, but changing the switches is totally different story. A lot of work, very tedious and cumbersome, and yes, it requires soldering. Non only that, it will automatically void your kb's warranty, in which why we do not recommend it it. So I'm not sure if you really want to to that.

But if you are interested on how it is done, this video will probably give you an idea, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luHI4UjkyCY
