Question Corsair Lighting Nodes not detected ?

I have two lighting nodes connected to a Commander Pro. Commander pro then connects to a USB header on the mobo

All the fans work, and all the fans have RGB.

However in iCue, I only see the Commander Pro but no Lighting Nodes and therefore I cannot change the colour scheme.

Occasionally I get a message in windows saying that a usb device wasn't recognised.. in device manager it says this..

Any ideas please ?>

Why?

Since proper hook-up of Corsair RGB solution is this:

Because I’m running 8 fans.

Done some reading and basically the issue is the motherboard doesn’t work well with the commander pros usb pass through function.

I heard that by using a separate powered usb hub it may work

Get 2nd Commander Pro?

With 2nd one, you can split your fans 4 and 4 between two Commander Pro controllers.

Well, yeah. Like the image shows above, Corsair hasn't built their hardware such, where you can expand freely what Commander Pro is capable of.

Fixed it !
Needed to power the node cores separately via a powered USB hub
