I've recently replaced a defective hard drive and as a precaution I changed out the SATA cables and plugged them into a different slots on the motherboard and PSU, and I also replaced the power cable that goes from the PSU into the wall. However after changing the power cable the LED lights no longer turn on, or sometimes only a single LED light comes in the corner of one of the fans, so logically I went back to using the old power cable to try and solve the issue, however now all the LEDs come on but they do not alternate as they should on their default Rainbow Wave pattern, they simply stay one colour and ignore any changes I make with Corsair Link 4.
Note that you might think that the SATA cable replacement that plugs into the HDD could be the issue, but the fans and lightning node use a different SATA cable which I use for my SSD and it always has been connected to that and worked as intended.
So to summarise, the fans have been working as intended on the same SATA cable they've always been plugged into for weeks, however since changing out the power cable they've ceased to work, even when reverting back to the old power cable.
I've tried reinstalling Corsair Link, tried switching the plugs around from the Lightning Node Pro into different sockets on the SATA power cable, and wanted to attempt an update of the Lightning Node PRO's firmware but I can't figure out where you would download this.
The current firmware version of the Lightning Node PRO is 0.5.104
If you need any additional info let me know and I'll do my best to provide it.
Thanks in advance.
