Question Corsair LL20 fans not lighting up.

I've installed the fans, but when I plug the rgb hub in the usb header on the mobo, it won't turn on. When it does turn on, the wires start smoking because they're getting too hot. I need suggestions.

Replace any parts that started smoking, they aren't safe to use in your computer anymore. You're lucky nothing else broke. Re-read your motherboard manual online and find out where everything is supposed to go.

Make sure you have the right connectors going to the right places. Corsair had a brain-fart and used 4pin PWM connectors on its rgb side of the fans. Putting 12v into a 5v led system isn't healthy.

I've emailed Corsair and they're replacing the fan hub and the node pro. I'll check the connections when I change them out.
