Hi, Just assembled my first build. With very moderate tweaking in Ram voltage & setting XMP for 3600 Mhz, I am getting stable windows run. Tested it with Prime 95, Aida, Cinebench & the system is pretty much stable. I am mainly concerned about if the boost in voltage & increased frequency will kill my Ram in long run. Ram heatsink appears cool to touch even after hours of constant use. Ryzen 5 3600 | Gigabyte A320 S2H | Corsair vengeance LPX 8GB 3000Mhz DDR4 (16-20-20-38)
Thanks in advance!

1.38v is safe voltage for ddr4.

As long as it is stable your ram should be alright.
Yes, I have read people are pushing it till 1.45 volts to gain stablity on overclocking. Though i can't understand then what's the point in purchasing 3600 Mhz kits when such improvements can be easily acheived by mild overclock ! Also it seems that Corsair 3600Mhz kit comes with additional fan support apart from attached heatsink . It really makes me doubt if my memory chips inside the heatsink are really running cool ! ? Right now I have these four configurations running stable.
3200mhz 16-20-20-38 1.36v
3200mhz 14-17-17-28 1.37v
3600mhz 16-20-20-38 1.38v
Which one will you prefer ? Geekbench scores are significantly better with 3600Mhz configuration.
It seems I can even push it to 3800 Mhz @ 1.39-1.4v but am scared to burn it up.

Look and see what the the ram temps are in hwmonitor.

I'm running 3333mhz @ 1.4v with my current Samsung e-die equipped g.skill ripjaws.
Can we monitor RAM temperature as well !! ?? Didn't knew.
Let me check.

Ps: HWMonitor isn't displaying RAM Temperature. I was wondering if RAM sticks have heat sensors as well  Also considering my chips are Hynix ones which are not much regarded for overclocking potential, am I really pushing it just too much considering stock XMP profile which comes with it is already overclocked.

I can easily monitor the temperature of my Corsair vengeance rgb pro with the Corsair icue software so yes it's possible, according that you have the compatible ram, motherboard and software.

Seems Corsar icue is only compatible with products that comply with it. I am using Corsair Vengeance LPX memory, nothing that fancy. Do you feel 1.38v is safe for 24x7 use ?
