I opened up my computer after work and my monitor just said it can't find a bootable drive so I went onto the bios configuration to see if I could boot up my M.2 SSD but only found out there was no choice for me to select my M.2 SSD.

As said in the title I'm using MSI B350M Gaming Pro motherboard and Corsair MP500 SSD. I'm a bit of a newbie about computers and that would be great if you could help me out.

Additional Information:
I built my own computer and it all ran well for about half a year til this day and I only started experiencing this when I updated my motherboard to the latest version, which was about 2 weeks ago.

My motherboard also recognise's the M.2 SSD just not on the boot priority.

Specifications -
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1500X 3.5 Ghz
GPU: GTX 1070Ti
SSD: 120GB Corsair MP500
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB
PSU: Antec 550W True Power Classic

Solution
I just formatted my SSD since my motherboard supports a clean format of the SSD via one of the BIOS option called "Secure+", which cleans the SSD completely but I probably have to say goodbye to my data. Oh well. It works now though!! Just need to download everything all over again because I have no backup files, which I kept on forgetting to back it up for the past 6 months.

I would still like to know if you guys have any idea what happened so I could be aware of it in the future. Thank you so much.
Hey kanewolf thanks for replying, I have tried to disconnect all my storage devices connected through SATA port even my Disc Drive and M.2 still won't show up on bootdrive priority list, however, it does show on the BIOS as an M.2 drive.

I currently have the latest driver for my MOBO, which is V29.

Another factor could be that I left my SSD, computer rather, open overnight while I was downloading something, is it possible that it could've been burnt/overheat? I appreciate the help man.

NVME SSDs do not appear within the BIOS until Windows creates the system partition with the EFI Boot Sector. Your M.2 SSD contains UEFI driver information within the firmware.

If you intend to use the M.2 drive as the bootable drive, when installing Windows 10, the M.2 drive has to be the only drive connected. This eliminates the need for "no choice for me to select my M.2 SSD".

@Kanewolf, the M.2 worked as a bootable driver for half a year.

@Calvin7, I've disconnected all my drives except for the M.2 but still have no sheer luck. I've already installed Windows 10 on my M.2 half a year ago and the only time my M.2 didn't bootup is yesterday and the only thing I did the day before that is install StarCraft II and left my computer open at midnight.

Nevermind it didn't help me at all but what I did do after that is try and install windows 10 all over again but it said that Windows cannot be installed to my M.2 drive. It specifically said "This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu."

It also said I have 111.8GB free space on my M.2 drive even though Windows 10 was completely installed on it and files were in there (although it had only 15GB free space left the latest I saw it).
